PCFS Loans
Eligibility
You are eligible for PCFS consolidation if you have:
- At least $50,000 in eligible loans.
- Not previously consolidated or have a new loan to add (Example: You consolidated your undergraduate loans, but you have new graduate loans to add or if you have two consolidation loans and would like to consolidate down to one).
- Loans that are in active repayment, deferment, forbearance or a six-month post-graduation grace period.
- Loans not "in-school" (Example: If you are a parent with loans, you can consolidate after final disbursement. If you are student, you can consolidate after graduation).
Loans eligible for consolidation are:
- Subsidized Federal Stafford Loans, formerly
Guaranteed Student Loans (GSL) - Direct Subsidized Stafford Loans
- Subsidized and Unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loans
- Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loans
- Federal Supplemental Loans for Students (formerly Auxiliary Loans to Assist Students (ALAS) and Student PLUS loans)
- Federal Perkins Loans, formerly National Defense/National Direct Student Loans (NDSL)
- Health Professions Student Loans, including Loans for Disadvantaged Students
- Federal Insured Student Loans (FISL)
- Federal PLUS (Parent or Graduate) Loans
- Direct PLUS Loans
- Subsidized Federal Consolidation Loans*
- Direct Subsidized Consolidation Loans*
- Unsubsidized Federal Consolidation Loan*
- Direct Unsubsidized Consolidation Loan, including Direct PLUS Consolidation Loans*
- Federal Nursing Loans
* If these loans have been previously consolidated, they must have another eligible loan separate from the consolidation.
